Sports Premium at Lavendon
The PE and Sport Premium is a vital government initiative designed to help primary schools enhance the quality and breadth of physical education and sporting opportunities for all pupils. At Lavendon School, we use this funding strategically to inspire a lifelong love of physical activity, improve health outcomes, and develop essential skills such as teamwork, resilience, and confidence.
Through targeted investment in high-quality teaching, and a diverse range of activities, we ensure every child has access to engaging and inclusive PE lessons, after-school clubs, and competitive opportunities. Our pupils participate in sports both within the curriculum and beyond—many represent local football and rugby teams, and take part in community tennis tournaments, dance competitions, martial arts and other events.
We are proud that participation rates in sport and physical activity at our school are high, and this commitment is reflected in our pupils’ wellbeing.
Our goal is clear: to give every child the confidence, skills, and enthusiasm to enjoy physical activity now and in the future.
