Extra-Curricular Activities and Extended Clubs

At Lavendon School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. From Foundation through to Year 6, our extra-curricular clubs provide fantastic opportunities for children to explore new interests, develop talents, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Whether through arts, sports, music, or other creative fields, these activities help foster essential skills such as teamwork, resilience, and independence, while nurturing each child’s individuality. Early involvement in clubs encourages curiosity and creativity, supporting holistic development and ensuring that our pupils enjoy a well-rounded educational experience.

We are proud to offer a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs throughout the year, ensuring there is something to spark every child’s interest. To keep things fresh and engaging, our options are regularly updated and rotated, giving pupils the chance to try new activities and discover new passions as they progress through school.

This variety allows our children to:

  • Explore creativity through art, drama, and music
  • Build physical fitness and teamwork in sports clubs
  • Develop confidence by trying new challenges
  • Nurture resilience and independence in a fun, engaging environment

By participating in these opportunities, our pupils grow into well-rounded individuals who are excited to learn, motivated to achieve, and confident to take on new experiences both within Lavendon School and beyond.

We offer a number of musical instruments that children can learn to play at Lavendon School. These include the horn, ukulele, violin, piano, recorder, flute and guitar.  All children in Year 3 are given the  opportunity to learn to play the violin as part of their Music curriculum in the Spring Term.

If you are interested in finding out more about Music tuition, please pop in and have a chat with Mrs Jeffcoate at the school office.
