There are times when some children may need additional support during their school life. Lavendon School is an inclusive setting which offers a range of provision to support children with a variety of SEND needs, including social, communication and interaction needs, learning difficulties, emotional and mental health needs, and physical needs.
We work to identify a child’s particular needs promptly and respond appropriately to enable them to make progress alongside their peers.
A systematic approach is essential within our school, with clear processes in place to ensure continuity of provision, effective communication with parents, and strong collaboration between staff. The Government’s SEND Code of Practice (2014) provides the framework for these processes, and our school’s SEND Policy reflects this guidance.
We are proud to be part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) Trust, and all schools within the trust follow the IFtL one‑page profile for learners with SEND and the shared SEND strategy.
