Our School Curriculum
Happy Children, Happy School; Achieving Excellence in Education
Lavendon School is a one-form entry primary school at the heart of the village of Lavendon. Our curriculum is designed to provide rich learning experiences that nurture the values of respect, independence, resilience, care, happiness, and honesty. We are proud to be part of this vibrant community, where parents are encouraged to play an active role in school life, supporting their child’s academic and social growth.
We are committed to ensuring that every pupil, including those with disabilities, can access the curriculum fully. Activities and approaches are regularly reviewed and adapted—whether through tailored resources, adjustments to learning spaces, or the support of additional adults—so that all children can thrive and succeed.
Intent
We believe our pupils deserve learning opportunities that inspire creativity, curiosity, and reflection. Our curriculum is exciting, engaging, and relevant, empowering children to become open-minded, independent, and well-rounded individuals.
To achieve this, we have developed a coherent, sequential curriculum model that builds knowledge and skills year-on-year, ensuring that learning is connected and progressive.
Our aim is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for all pupils, celebrating human creativity and achievement while preparing them to become educated citizens—both within our local community and on a wider national and global stage. Raising aspirations and enabling each child to grow into the very best version of themselves lies at the heart of our vision.
We are immensely proud of our school family and remain deeply committed to our motto: “Happy Children, Happy School; Achieving Excellence in Education.” This guiding principle provides the foundation for our pupils to explore new ideas with confidence and to flourish throughout their educational journey at Lavendon School.
